dining room rug to coordinate with living room rug

My home has an open floor plan for the dining/breakfast room and living. I've chosen a rug with the help from an awesome Houzz Pro shown below. I will be doing curtains in the living room and cornice in the dining room in the same fabric (shown below) . I'm hoping Houzz magic can help me find a coordinating rug for the dining room. pretty please!

Great choice Judy, thank you. That's right up the alley I was thinking. I was first considering a jute rug because it seems neutral but wasnt loving anything I came across.

Thinking that jute/sisal, although some good tones, may not be the best pairing for the living room rug…just a little bit too casual.

This is Martha Stewart for Safaviah. Colors on monitors are fickle, but I am trying to find just the gold/creams as the dining room dark furniture would look better on the lighter tones of the fabric rather than the darker blues. What do you think?

    I like the two tones.

I agree with the light tones especially considering the room itself is not large at all.

Ignore the one I just posted…too dark...

Used to be able to copy and paste to desktop OP’s items…made it easier to search..no more.

Is the first rug a jute rug? I'm leaning toward that one.

Nope! Wool. It is: Suanne Hand-Tufted Wool Ivory Area Rug by Bungalow Rose.

I really like JudG's first option. Here's another that appears to work well with the fabric and existing rug. Maybe it will appeal to you.

Oooh nice Manon. I do like that option. Do you have a link or info? I'd like to see if I can find customer reviews to see the rug in different light... if that makes sense.

Glad you like it! It's the Bridgette Printed rug from Pottery Barn and is made from wool and jute - so a nice natural fiber mix. I may be mistaken, but I thought Pottery Barn once offered samples. Take a look.

Do you really need a rug? I do not have one in my dining room (where we eat most of our meals). It is so easy to clean dust mop the floor rather than vacuum. Fill your walls with wonderful artwork and no one will notice the floors.

Threes, I've considered not doing a rug but since I'm putting cornice instead of curtains I'm worried itll look too empty.

After a closer look Manon the rug looks to bluish for the area.

Hi there! Can you share where you found the rug the Houzz Pro suggested for you? It's beautiful. I'd love to see a picture of it in your space.
