Mixing kitchen door styles

Hi - we're renovating our kitchen and want a mix of walnut veneer and white cabinet doors. We ideally wanted shaker doors for both but can't get the walnut veneer in shaker. Wondering if we can mix walnut slab doors (island and lower cabinets) and white shaker doors (uppers). We don't like white slab doors which is why we're considering the shaker doors. thx

Walnut would never IMO look good as a shaker in fact that combo you want will always look best in a contemporary flat style door and kitchen design.The uppers will also look best in a high gloss to have a more upscale look. . I have no idea of your style but the need for shaker cabinets tells me you could be a bit traditional in your design sense. In which case I would have done white shaker and a beautiful walnut counter on the island.
