Thank you all. I took the pic when the cats were lining up for dinner time. We have the great room thing so our very open dining space is next to the kitchen and the cat dishes are next to my new cabinet. I have them on a boot tray to protect the floor and decided I needed to upgrade my tray now that I have such a fancy cabinet. One thing always leads to another.....

Speaking of cats, my little nuisance cat used to sit on top of the old cabinet this one replaced. It was quite a bit shorter than this one. I'm so afraid she's going to try to jump up on this one and scratch the side of it when she realizes it's not the same height. So far she's stayed away from it - it has a very slight new furniture smell so maybe that is deterring her or she just thinks it looks big and ominous. In any case I hope she stays down by her dish and doesn't try to get on top of this thing.

The troublemaker cat is still steering clear of it. I'm cautiously optimistic she realizes it's just too tall for her to jump on top of. The black cat in the picture is not the troublemaker. She's 19 and too old to even think of jumping on this. In fact we have a little foam ottoman for her to use just to get on the bed.
