Thanks for posting pudgeder. I looked at the link and saw that those of us in Canada can look at www.hills.ca to see which cans (and only cans are affected) of the Hills Science Diet or Prescription Food are being recalled.

We do have 2 cans of Hill's Prescription I/D but while his "emergency" stash type of food is on the recall list, his particular cans fortunately are not. I did check with the vet's office though just in case. We keep it on hand just in case - we have ever since he had the doggy flu 14 years ago. It is not his normal food. I feel sorry for the vet clinic staff who have to call everyone.

While it is good to look for the cans and if found contact company for refund/replacement people who do have the lots need to know this part of the announcement although visiting/calling your vet is always wise.

Pet parents with dogs who have consumed any of the products listed and are exhibiting any of these signs should contact their veterinarian.

In most cases, complete recovery is expected after discontinuation of feeding.
