Should I purchase Franklin Iron Works from Lamps Plus or Amazon?

I love this chandelier from Franklin Iron Works. Evidently, it is a private label of Lamps Plus. I'm a little "iffy" about the quality for $499.00 but it has a lot of good reviews. Just in case I have problems in the future, would it be safer to order directly from Lamps Plus or should I order it from Amazon, the only other place I have seen it?

Hi there! If the reviews are good, I say go for it. Hope this helps!

Ok - thanks! Just wanted some confidence before I dish out the $500! :)

Also, Lamps Plus has the same price of $499, so I would order it from there. Be sure to check their return policy. It would probably be easier to return with them (in the event you need to) since it's their product. You could possibly even return in store if there is one near you. Hope this helps!

I wish there was a store near me - they are all out west and we are in Ohio. I think I will order from Lamps Plus - I just worry if there is a return for any reason what the return shipping would be. I have been burned on that before!

Definitely check the return policy of each. I have Amazon Prime. I bought an item directly from the store, not Amazon, but did see it was also available on Amazon. I then had to return it. Had I bought it on Amazon, I would have just returned it, done, via the very easy Amazon return policy with the return label that I could print via my Amazon account page. 2 minutes. But instead, because I didn’t get it on Amazon, I had to call the company, wait on hold for customer service, then they had to give me an RA number which I have to put inside the box, and write on the outside of the box, and then they will refund me my money *less* the shipping cost to me of $22, and I also must pay the shipping cost to send the item back.

Get it from amazon. I had a terrible experience returning a fan with warped blades to Lamps Plus.

Amazon has third party sellers that have variable return policies so you have to be a little careful with who you are actually buying from (and if you don't use Amazon regularly this may not be obvious). If its actually sold by Amazon, returns are easy. If its defective, they will pay return shipping. If you just don't like it, they will charge you a reasonable return shipping fee.

It always says" Prime plus Are Returns " if returns are actually free. if you can return it without having to pay for shipping.....because the shipping for an item like that would likely cost as much as the item itself.

Thanks! I am a prime member and use it constantly. I need to check this item to see if I can ship it back for free!

This item is not SOLD BY Amazon or even FULFILLED BY Amazon. The listing says nothing about Amazon, only "Available from these vendors". Lamps Plus is the only vendor shown. In effect, Lamps Plus is simply advertising this product through the Amazon site. Since you'd have to buy it from Lamps Plus might as well just go to that site: https://www.lampsplus.com/products/lacey-28-inch-wide-round-black-chandelier__w7307.html
