bathroom remodel- mixing chrome and matte black?

We are redoing a very small master bath (our ONLY full bath!) in contemporary style, Using 4x16 subway tiles, with dark grey slate-like 12x24 floor tiles.. We want to keep the renovation reasonable in cost, but high quality. We think that matte black for our faucets and and shower will really pop. However, the tub is surrounded by only two walls, and thus we need to use custom sliding shower doors, with a glass return above the foot of the tub (above a knee wall). Here is the question... can we mix matte black faucets at the sink and in tub/shower ...but use a chrome shower enclosure. (given the design, we must have a frame and sadly cannot do a frameless barn-door type of shower enclosure). Or, should we just go with the less expensive chrome faucets as well? (or of course, bite the bullet and do matte black shower enclosure as well, which is not only much more costly, but might be a lot of black in this little room... suggestions?
