Bedroom window curtain rods

I have 2 bedroom windows that I want to hang curtains on. One is large and the other is about 1/3 the size of the large one. Should I be using the same rod diameter?

Yes, same diameter. You'll need wider curtains (or more of them if they're readymade) for the larger window. I'm assuming you're talking about the width of the windows.

I would use the same rod diameter, the same height from floor.
