The tricky part is on the steps, next to the cherry wood. That is going to be very difficult to match. You could try to match it, but if you are not successful, and if you can’t learn to love the beauty of the contrasting wood, the only option remaining would be to paint everything white. If it were me, I would reframe my perspective and learn to see the beauty in it.

I'm leaning toward white for my own railings even though my stairs and railings match. I think white would be the better options.

How about painting the light wood dark charcoal or black?

The board going up the stairs should be white like the rest of the trim in the house. Then, as others have said, a black rail. A painter suggested this to me 19 years ago. l It was transforming!

we painted it all black. It was easier than taping off the white and I feel gives a more cohesive look.

the clock pieces can not be rearranged. As for the pictures above they go all the way up and do have a straight line. thank you though
