How to clean a braided chenille rug?

I have (3) Amish made hand braided chenille rugs that I use in my bathroom in front of two sinks and as a shower mat. I vacuum them weekly and rotate their locations every couple of weeks. I use them for 6-mos of the year (for winter decor)

This year, preparing them for storage it might be time to wash them first, rather than just a vacuum or beating them out. I've had them for 6-years. They don't look bad except the mat has dulled and flattened over the years.

Any suggestions on how to clean them?

Thank you.
