I am trying to furnish my new condo which is being built (so I don't have photos), which is fairly small. When you go through the front door, you have your living/family room, small dining area and kitchen with bar counter -all straight back - in that order - in a rectangular space. I am trying to coordinate my color scheme and furniture regarding my dining area. My walls are a soft gray and my kitchen cabinets are off white (Alabaster) with white trim and gray and white granite countertops. I am looking at gray leather or velvet barstools with silver legs and don't know what type/color of dining table and chairs to go with it since they will be pretty much be side by side. Should I try distressed gray wooden table with warm brown or whitewashed chairs, or vise versa - or any other option? I do like the French country/rustic look also - even though the barstools are modern and sleek. Any suggestions? Thank you for your help!
