I have not looked for it since I first heard about it. Have you called Milbergers on Bulverde Rd inside Loop 1604? If they don't carry it, ask them who does. Or try Fanick's Nursery on the southeast side of town. They used to carry some hard to find turf grasses.

Of course your backup for shade tolerant southern lawns is St Augustine.

Thanks! milbergers does not carry it and for most of the grass farms in the area seem to be special order only. Didn’t think it would be this hard to find Bermuda here. I’ll reach out to fannicks and see what they carry.

i was going to make sprigs out pieces of sod using a pro plugger lawn tool for a lower cost solution so I do not need a whole pallet of sod For that reason.

I read this article awhile ago. Very good article. Rather than laying the springs on the ground I would use the 5 in 1 tool to get a hole in the ground and then use it to get a sprig from the dog and plant it in the ground to get better root contact.

Chopping up sod seems like a lot more work especially doing it by hand and with a lot of dirt on it Still .

Now one if I can just find someone that sells Bermuda sod by the piece instead requiring me to by a whole pallet would be great.

Several places sell Celebration plugs on-line. (Google it) Kind of expensive, but this grass spreads so fast, just a little goes a long way !

King ranch turfgrass sells it by the pallet for pretty cheap, never seen it sold in pieces. A pallet is usually around $100 plus $50 or so for delivery. You'll never need to buy more though, you can chop it up, sprig it anywhere you want or just buy a plugging tool to propagate it from that first pallet.
