Grey vanity - What to do with my walls?

Bought a vanity on the spur of the moment for my guest bath - the faucet was leaking, and the sink was eroded because of it, so I decided to just buy this one I saw on clearance at a big box store.

Now I have zero idea of what to do with the walls. The only thing I will reno right now is the vanity. There is no tile in the room, just a cheap beige 36" walk-in shower with matching surround, and off-white toilet. Cheap builder beige vinyl flooring.

I just paid for my daughter's wedding, so was really not looking to spend much money, but my grandson will be moving in, in two weeks, before he goes off to college next fall and needs a working bathroom asap. However, at some point in time I plan on replacing the shower stall and adjacent built-in linen closet with a standard tub/shower combo (for resale I need a tub somewhere) so will replace the beige toilet and shower with white.

Anyway, here is the vanity. Bought a brushed nickel faucet. Thinking maybe white walls? But boooooring... should I wallpaper the wall behind the vanity to pull in colors? If so, can you give me ideas? The rest of my house has recently been reno'd with white kitchen cabs, white sparkle quartz counters, walnut flooring with a very minimal mid-century vibe. I think maybe I chose this vanity poorly, the coastal look just doesn't go. But it's upstairs, so maybe I can get away with it, if I can tie it in somehow?

Two of the ideas I had were to go all-out with the mid-century theme (paper a wall with maybe what's shown below, will tie in white walls, beige toilet, grey vanity), or go coastal glam with adhesive backed capiz shell tiles on the wall behind the vanity (ties in beige, white and grey). I dunno. Thoughts?
