Is the island made of a cerused oak? If so, did you use white or red?

I'm curious about both the wood used on the isald as well as the stain/finish

    The finish was just as much about the process as the actual color to get that look. It was specified as a French white oak lightly wire brushed with a Rubio monocoat color pre-coating and then a coat of oil finish in smoke color. It was buffed 24 hours later to get the weathered look. I believe the cabinet maker might have altered the finish/process a bit but samples were provided that the client liked. Hope that helps
