Cabinet Door Fronts For Modern/Transitional Kitchen

Sorry if I’ve gotten terms for styles wrong, but I think it reflects what I’m going for in terms of kitchen aesthetics.

I’ve got two choices for cabinet doors and I’m not sure what will fit better with the look I’m going for.

I’ve attached pictures of the kitchen layout, the only difference in my build is that we will be going with 9’ ceilings and 42” tall 15” deep upper cabinets.

We plan on doing grey cabinets with a Royal Navy island and fairly contemporary door hardware. We will have blue/gray tones in the backsplash going above the stove and white subway tile everywhere else (I’ve attached some samples of colors/tile but lighting may make it look strange).

I have two options for door fronts. I can do the traditional shaker style that can be seen in the layout pics or an inset “craftsman” style (I think that’s what it’s called).

What would look best for this kitchen? I’d appreciate any feedback outside of the cabinet doors too. I haven’t worked with our designer yet and so far all the planning has just been me and my very uncreative brain!
