I have been "stuck" for about a year with our small bathroom.

I have already purchased and installed our new vanity sink, which I love. However, it is of the style of vintage meets arts and crafts. Love the hardware it came with, bronze, vintage faucet. Love it! However, small full bath (built in 2001/Town Home) came with a small tub (nice for kids, if we sell) and shower rod. At this point, I am so stumped as to what tile to choose, whether we should exchange the tub (claw foot? larger Kohler tub?), what type of showers doors if we don't do a claw tub, should I get the Vintage Bronze tilt mirror that I love at Pottery Barn, should I get white wanes coating for the wall across from the vanity, should the tile on the walls for the shower/bath surround be the same as the floor tile, etc.? No arts and crafts going on here at all. What I do see is Mediterranean...with strong Greek influence (columns, etc). If you like this look, stick with it through out the bath.

No wainscoting. For your walls, I would wallpaper.

For a mirror I suggest the bronze, but follow the beading on your piece.

Without any photo's of the room... one word that comes to mind looking at your vanity is... harlequin :)

Glad you like it. I think the tile, particularly will really be fabulous with the vanity. Wall paper would be fun, if you are up to it :>). Stay in the cream/bronze color scheme.

Would you consider a tub with bronze accents or even an all-metal tub to pick up the accents on your gorgeous vanity? Go with a lighter tile and wall color and a tub like one of these:

I like the idea, and have even considered it, as those tubs are so beautiful. but, I think it would be over-powering for this small bath plus the expense of once of those tubs may be more than I would like to spend, but I appreciate your idea. That white tub with the nature-like is so neat.

Yes, I can understand not wanting to pay $35K for a bathtub! I love the white one too. What's your price range? Would you rather a simple white tub with coordinating claw feet and/or tub filler? How much space do you have for a tub?

Wallpaper generally frowned on in bathrooms since it can promote mold. Best to avoid in bathrooms, contractors tell me.
