I’m trying to find a table lamp for my Family room end table. The “ rules” about correct height seem condradictory- one says bottom of shade should be eye level, the other says the top should be between 58-64” from floor. I really want something that just looks proportional.

Here’s a pic of the table with 2 lamps - the glass is 26 1/2”, the carved one 30”. Neither will be used. The second pic is one I want from PB. The “ small” is 24” overall, the large is 30”.
Should I get the small or large.... or keep searching for something in between?
