Can you show a photo of the buds?

So it seems the maroon looking branches break really easy so I broke a lot off. The buds look burnt and just crumble. As you can see in the photo where i scratched, it looks green around the edges directly under the skin. Some of my potted blue berries are doing the same thing. Weird.

It looks dead to me. It should be growing by now. I wouldn't throw it away just yet as it may revive from some root tissue. Just make sure it gets light, warmth, soil doesn't dry out and buy a backup plant.
