Greige walls in a very brown kitchen?

My husband and I are tired of staring at walls and need some help! We have painted a ton of griege samples, but can’t decide if they are too grey in our very brown kitchen. I will post a picture of our favorite “Balanced Beige” by SW with our cabinet and countertops, as well as some pictures before any samples were painted on. We just took wallpaper down on the white walls, so we will be painting those walls the same color as where the brown currently is.
We are also considering painting our countertops. Any advice is welcome!

It's unclear whether you're planning to paint the cabinets or just the walls. Is the brown is your existing wall color or just something you're trying out? You've got a lot going on--black appliances, white walls adjoining with cream doors and trim, light wood cabinets and flooring, which look very nice and seem to go with your countertops just fine. Please provide photos of all four walls of spaces adjoining the kitchen. Not sure why greige is in the mix at all.

I know there is a lot going on! This is how the house looked when we moved in, except that the white walls you see had a marble wallpaper on them that made it even more busy! We currently can’t afford to do more than paint, so new appliances or cabinets are out for now. The brown is the current wall color, and we want to choose a lighter color. I don’t have pictures of the other walls right now but I’ll post some later.
We have thought about painting the cabinets, but wouldn’t know what color to paint them if we did. For now we are just looking to paint the walls.

The dark color does not make the kitchen look bigger. Review the LRV (light reflective value) of the paint- it is 46, which means it swallows light, rather than reflect light. The window wall partially painted dark makes the wimdows feel smaller. Use paint not as an accent, but to add dimension to the space...Make a wide shallow wall recede by painting it slightly darker than the surrounding walls, but within the same tones,

This kitchen looks as though you need more storage- The metal cart at the end of the island holding cereals & bags of chips., as well as the big mixer on the counter (unless you use it everyday). The counter clutter adds to a cramped look. Can you add cabinets and then finsh those added cabinets w trim for a more expensive custom look?

Consider light reflective tile above the backsplash and take it up to the cabinets.... Shown in this model house - https://tours.stevenjamescollins.com/public/vtour/display/429996

Is the trim on your doors white or creamy colored? If it's creamy colored, I'd probably match the trim color, but do it in an eggshell finish for the walls.

Think about getting a color consultant to advise you on the wall color for the kitchen and all adjoining spaces (which we need to see). My gut instinct so that you don't have to change the cabinet color, flooring, or countertops is to get the very palest shade of the cabinet color, that is a white that has a tinge of pale gold like the ceiling in this kitchen. Look how well it all works--cabinets, floors, dark counters.
