Need to get rid of green undertones in living room paint

We've lived in our home for about 6 years and the wall color in one of our living rooms has been the same since we moved in. I've always tried to make it work with my decor, but it always ends up looking off at various times during the day due to the green undertones. Can anyone recommend a paint color that would be a better fit- something in the beige family? I've included a few photos. The room is on the left hand side when you enter the front door. I've included a photo of the foyer as well.

I agree with Patricia, your lights are very yellow. Change them before you make any decisions on paint.

I agree with both. You are still using incandescent bulbs. They use too much energy and in this case are too yellow for your lamps.

Unless you are specifically looking for white paint, this Agreeable Gray might work or something similar that doesn't clash with your wall to wall carpet.

Kill the fan light. They always make rooms look like basements.

Also that assemble of objects over the sectional is a bit too forced and should be replaced with something else. Only you know what style of art pleases you. This pair of florals is just an example of wall decor in the right tones for your room.

If you don't like the greenish hue you could try a muted light blue which would look great in your space - something like BM Pallidian Blue.

What color is currently on the walls that you feel has a green undertone?

Thanks for the feedback. I’m not sure what color is on the walls, since it was painted this way when we moved in. I’m a fan of the fan light, so I’m going to keep it. I‘ll definitely switch out the bulbs. I was apprehensive to do that, because I really dislike the starkness of bright white lights. I’m also playing around with different art. I always thought It looked kind of forced, but I guess I’m trying to get the scale right. Since I don’t have the original paint, I’ll have to work around the nail holes.

have to work around the nail holes.....

I see Aqua/beige ikat pillows.... Have you considered ikat prints for the space above the couch. You could move the existing pillows to your entry bench for 1) prevent pattern clash and 2) Add a bigger pattern to the color story at your entrance (pretty lamps, rug & door)

    On this idea...

In consideration of your room's colors... Perhaps this :

Ikat Motif I, II, III, IV - Chariklia Zarris. (artist)

You might find lower prices for these prints on pther sites, but this link shows all four prints on a single page http://www.prints.com/art.php?q=Zarris+ikat+motif&x=0&y=0&type=14

Here it is again (less expensive site) https://www.allposters.com/-sp/Ikat-Motif-IV-Posters_i9358403_.htm?UPI=PH6B3Z0&PODConfigID=9201948

If you want to add in a darker blue to your room, maybe. Zarris' Ikat Ocean series

"I was apprehensive to do that, because I really dislike the starkness of bright white lights."

LED bulbs come in several "shades"...some cast warm (yellow). some a bit whiter, some are true daylight. Sample a few from a Big Box, try each out for an entire 24 hours (just the new bulbs, don't use the old ones) and you'll see what works for you. Return the ones that don't make the cut.

I haven’t tried new bulbs yet, but I definitely intend to this week. Here is an updated picture with new art. A bit of background, I love the British colonial look, so I tried to add a bit of that style with my existing items. Recently, I was feeling the room was getting too dark for my liking, so I was getting the itch to change things up AGAIN! I also love the tropical style in general, so I’m trying to do it with a twist. Something that hasn’t been played out a billion times. I live at the beach and most of my rooms incorporate some kind of elements of this style. Sometimes I feel I am all over the place, because there are so many looks I love! In the late afternoon light and with bad light bulbs and a very old iPhone the room really takes on a greenish hue. I have “play” money that I can use to make a few changes/ tweaks, but the major elements will all stay for now. Most of my living space is on the second floor, so I don’t use this room much( My kids use the computer- not pictured but across from the couch). It’s just the first room you see when you enter the house, so I’m trying to nail it! Thanks for the help.

Taken with most of the lights off

Since you live at the beach, why not try the light aqua someone up above mentioned, and give the room a beachy feel. However, please change the bulbs, before you decide to repaint, or bring home any paint samples.

Patricia - Can you recommend a light bulb that's 3500-4000K? I went to HD today and all I could find was 2700 (soft white) or 5000 (daylight). I was looking at the flood lights for my recessed lighting.

I prefer daylight everywhere. I really does make your colors look more like what you picked out when you painted.

The 2700 feels warm and cozy to me. I don't know what my mother has, but I've noticed it's looks kind of blue and feels cold. Since the only choices I saw at HD were 2700 and 5000, I was thinking maybe 3500-4000 wouldn't feel so cold.

I moved some things around. The original lightbulbs were LED 2700. I haven’t tried LED’s in a different range yet, but I did take some of the green art and accessories away and experimented with adding cooler blues to the mix. I’m happy with the result.
