Exterior Paint on a 1906 Tudor Revival and LOOK at my new windows...

Hi there everyone! So there is this...we are having our exterior painted next week. Last week, we had ten windows (all on the front rooms of the house) replaced with Pella windows and the exterior of the windows is Black. As you will see, there is gray stone on the first floor (and basement) of the house while there is tan pebble dash stucco on the top two floors. The stucco has never been painted and we are NOT going to paint the stucco. The trim and tudoring around the house will be painted. Since the new windows I ordered are Black, my thinking was to have all of the other 40+ windows painted Black and having the trim and tudoring painted a creamy white. I really hope I did not make a bad decision in choosing Black exterior windows but now I have to go with it regardless. I have been a Realtor for over 24 years and have always been great with colors, staging, decorating for my clients, family and friends. Now it is my turn and I am stuck...YIKES! ;) Anyway, any suggestions, photos, paint colors you can throw my way would be so very appreciated! Thank you to my Houzz family and I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Oh, also, I am using my beloved Benjamin Moore so if you have any recommendations, I would really appreciate it. Sherwin Williams would be my second choice. Thank you, thank you! <3 Here are the photos...

I like the sage green as it shows up on my monitor in photos 1 & 2. How about just darkening that up a few shades for more impact and a less faded appearance?

I, too, like the sage green and agree with darkening it up a bit. I actually thought it had already been painted until I remembered the cream comment.

50 windows, wow. They look beautiful.

I love cream, but not here. Not an expert, not a realtor. But I love the idea of a slightly deeper green for a bit more contrast.

    How about this? https://www.valsparpaint.com/en/explore-colors/find-ideas/styles/tudor/tudor-homes-2.html

    Or this?

    sage green

    Some other greens: https://www.elledecor.com/design-decorate/color/g24120970/sage-green-paint-colors/

Or BM's Historical Colors? Webster Green caught my eye.

For your trim, consider picking a much darker color -- something bold such as a deep burgundy/brown -- rather than anything creamy or off white.

I definitely think the trim on the picture you posted is way too light. It is not right on your house Tudor trim is traditionally darker, and thats what calls the attention to a tudor house. The lighter color is taking all the character away from your house.

I would paint the rest of the windows black so they all match. Then I would take a darker gray, with brown overtones and use that on the trim. That would serve to tie the black windows in with the tan stucco. If you're interested in seeing some virtual makeovers of your house check my web site, Creative Visual Concepts.

Unless you are simply tired of the sage, I'd repaint in the same color. It looks great with your stone and beautiful new windows.

Thank you everyone! So, I LOVE this look but I really do NOT want to paint the pebble dash stucco. Thoughts on this one if I leave the stucco the tan color?

I think a higher contrast would be nice, so it should work. My only concern would be that it would look like brown on brown on brown. That last picture of your house showed it to look fairly dark. It may just be the picture. Try painting a sample. But try a deeper version of your current trim, too. Only one way to know, and that’s to try.

What a beautiful charmer! You must be having so much fun playing dress up with this gorgeous house! I think you made a solid choice with the black windows and they look great. I'm marinating on the how we can brighten up that amazing front porch...so stay tuned for more on that. I dont think painting the stone is completely off the table. I would obviously only do the exterior siding and leave foundational stone natural like it is. I think painting might brighten it up a bit and plus I love the uneven texture that comes out once its painted. On your two windows that pop out on front and side of house, if budget permits, a copper roof might be fun?

How about Crisp Romaine to intensify the green slightly?

I think if you leave pebble stuco in natural state, I gravitate towards greens for the tudor trim. Green feels soothing, darker brown doesnt satisfy the same that green does.
