Lighten Revere Pewter 25% or look for a different color entirely?

We really need to repaint the main level of our home and I am having the hardest time finding a color that works with our furnishings and all the different lighting conditions we have.
I thought Revere Pewter was going to save the day but, it seems a bit too dark for our family room area. We don’t have an entirely open concept first floor, though all of the walls do run into each other, so there isn’t a good stopping point for different colors.
I used Edgecomb gray in a previous home and grew to like it, at first it looked very putty like in color to me, which could have been due to our slate tile floors.

Would simply lightening the tint of Revere solve my problem? Or should I look at other colors? Maybe more towards the off-white family; like Linen whitewash or Swiss Coffee???

The large swatch behind the couch is Revere Pewter. The smaller is Vale Mist which is too green for the space.
