Need Exterior Paint Suggestions!

We are (finally) painting our split level home and we are at a complete loss as to what colors to choose for the main, shutters, trim and door. As you can see we have a partial brick front. DH is completely against painting or white washing the brick. He also won't paint the garage doors. I would love some color suggestions! Our painter will be using Sherwin Williams paint. Thanks!

Green would work well with your treed setting.

I think that a cute idea would be to paint your house navy and repaint the shutters white. This would give it a clean feel and also would not involve painting the brick :)

I would paint the main white, the shutters a brown shade from the brick, and the door a royal blue.

Soft beige on trim , forest green on siding , light grey on shutters and front door.

If the garage doors are staying white, I would leave the shutters and trim white. Paint the house a warm neutral color with green undertones, and paint the front doors in a color that you love for an accent. Example pic......

I like that a lot! I'm partial towards a greenish gray (like SW's Herbal Wash) with dark shutters (possibly black) and white trim but I don't know what color door to do. Cranberry with that color is really popular in our neighborhood so I'd rather not do that, plus it clashes with the brick IMO. I'm having such difficulty!

Navy blue would be so pretty. Have you ever considered removing the shutters from the big windows on the left? They are way too small, and the upper ones especially detract from your nice bay window.
Anyway, here's a blue/white/brick combo. Leave your garage doors white, and maybe paint the front door yellow for fun.

I love the navy with the white! I never noticed that about the shutters. It's amazing what you just don't notice when you stare at something everyday!

Oh, and I had no idea you could stain brick! My husband's concern with painting is the chipping and peeling you often see. I don't think you would have that with staining. I'll have to look onto it further.
