Proper windows for a 1940s cape cod

Hi, all! I am hoping you can give me some sage advice on replacing my windows, the first step in some much-needed updating on the house's exterior. This 1940s cape cod has original 4/4 windows, which I guess was common for the capes in my area, as there are still a few around. My windows need to be replaced unfortunately, and I am wondering if I should stick with 4/4 style or switch to the 6/6 style I usually see on capes. To make things more "interesting," my cape is asymetrical and has a large front window. I am partial to replacing the large window with a string of three double-hung window, but a window flanked by two double-hungs seems like the more traditional choice in my neighborhood. Attached are three possibilities for the windows, but I would be open to other configurations, even if they aren't traditional. Thanks so much!
