Best place to buy drapes

I have a picture and I've been trying to find drapes like the ones it shows and am having no luck at all. My walls are already the color as in the picture, and my dining room is very similar. Hopefully I can attach the picture and will get some ideas. I'm trying for Southwestern design, and when I search for blue drapes they are too blue. Turquoise no luck either. Thanks!

no, I have not. Thanks for the suggestion. I realize that room it is not totally Southwestern but it has a few things that reminds me of that. I'm talking about the southwestern that's more muted, Santa Fe kind of, calm. Not the real loud colors. Thanks again!

Thank you. Those are very similar. I had trouble with my search term and trying to describe a type of blue And this seems to be very close.

I've always had drapes custom made. It is not as expensive as you may think, you can choose the exact fabric that you want, the style, and get them lined/weighted so they hang properly. I would at least get an estimate from someone local before buying premade ones. I think JC Penney still makes custom window treatments, also.

Surprisingly, I've had a lot of luck with JC Penney - both for blinds and drapes. Admittedly, the color selection is fairly minimal so it might not work. But I've been happy with quality, especially for the price.

I haven't been to a JCPenney's in quite a while. There's not one close to me. Also, I have never had custom-made drapes. I'll check it out. Thanks for the suggestions. I've just been striking out so this is a big help. I ordered some samples from half-price drapes .

Beautiful inspiration room! The curtains in your post are very simple with rings at the top. What you like about them is the color and the height. The mistake made when getting window treatments is making them too low/short/long. Install the rod almost to the ceiling. With an eight foot ceiling, 96" length is easy to find. Pottery Barn, West Elm, JCPenney and Restoration Hardware are a good places to start. I don't know anyone who has had a bad experience with JCPenney, believe it or not.

Before you go crazy ordering online, determine the following:

    1) Measure the width of the window and buy enough curtains for 2-1/2 to 3 times the width, even if you will be keeping the curtains open. This is what professional do and there is nothing worse then skimpy drapes.

    2) Determine the length.

    3) Determine the type of fabric. Looks like linen or cotton from your pic. That means stay away from polyester and silk.

    4) Determine if you want black out curtains or light filtering, lined or unlined.

    5) Determine exactly what rod and curtain rings you like.

This will help you search for exactly what you want. Most online suppliers will send you a sample of the color and fabric, sometime free and sometimes for a small fee, but worth it.

Even if the perfect curtain has a rod pocket, You can always have your tailor sew on the rings.

The other good advice above is to consider getting them custom made. The curtains in the pic are not overcomplicated and I am sure you have someone in your area to accommodate you. Have them measure how much fabric you will need and either buy the fabric through them or buy online. Fabricators usually have fabric books from Kravet and other better fabric suppliers.

Also, think outside the box. This curtain from West Elm is indoor/outdoor Sunbrella fabric. Here is a link from West Elm: https://www.westelm.com/products/sunbrella-indoor-outdoor-solid-cast-curtain-mist-t4984/?cm_src=AutoRel
