Neutral is always best for bigger pieces of furniture. That way, should you decide you want another color paint in the future, the furniture will still work, or if you should unexpectedly decide to move, your furniture will work in another house. Put in color with area rugs, pillows, bedding and other accessories.

The blue wall color is nice but I don't think I'd keep it for every room. Try a warm white for most of the rooms and leave the blue in just one, perhaps the dining room. It is a lovely home, one that I think would benefit from warm colors. Consider Oriental rugs first and then pull the colors from them for furnishings, cushions etc.
