Are you having 1 centered in the space? Or will there be two. Any other lighting? What are the dimensions of the room? Let’s figure out what the best size is first.

Not able to take pics of the space, but the general layout of the sink cabinet and machines is the same as this room here, except my sink cabinet might be a bit larger and there are no cabinets over the sink. We will have a closet pole over the sink. Also, we are merely painting the wide ARCH oak cabinets, not replacing them.

Local Eater-. There are can lights in the ceiling in corners. . I was thinking of having a semiflush mount or chandelier as the "jewelry" for the room. Part of the plan is to remove the large rectangular, fluorescent box light that's currently in the center of the room and place a lovely light in its stead.

I really don't like the mini chandeliers in the example photo, or that there are three of them. I would do a semi-flush mount, and two fixtures with decent wattage is enough. Our last laundry room was wider and longer, and I used two fixtures with single bulb and had plenty of light. I also suggest centering within the open area (not including upper cabinet depth).

Allison, Indeed, I want one light as the focal point, so to speak, The reason I included the aqua laundry room was only to show the size and general layout of the room. Can lights have been installed in the ceiling, which are centered around the perimeter- . I'm looking for a central light fixture at this point, not three minis.
