My first successful citrus graft!

At least,I think it is successful. It has new growth anyway. Does that mean it has taken?

I am very new to grafting, and am very nervous about it. The first one I tried, died after I took the foil off of the graft. This one was grafted on the 8th of September. (wrong time of year, I'm sure!) The only other successful grafts I have ever had was a Harko nectarine to a Nemaguard root stock, and a Black Ice Plum to a native plum from my backyard. Both done this spring. I have tried many times and have failed more times than not.

So those of you who graft alot, Is this a good sign? I'm so afraid it will die.

Thanks for any feedback.
