I second paying a visit (or visits) to a really good showroom - NOT Home Depot of the like.

There is no way to really get a sense of how stuff actually looks and feels unless you see it in person. Also, the actual finishes vary albeit subtly.

If you want a copper finish or some kind, your choices will be limited to fairly high end brands. Copper tends to feel very traditional as a finish. My bathroom fixtures are from Phylrich and are oil rubbed bronze but they do have copper finishes as well.

My kitchen has a copper farmhouse sink and lots of copper details (copper hood, copper tiles, copper knobs and pulls and copper coved ceiling) but I opted for oil rubbed bronze faucet along with other sink accessories. Mine is a Kohler Artifacts single hole with pull down spray. I looked at various styles on the internet but then went to a showroom in order to check them out in person and I liked the way the Kohler looked and functioned the best.
