First…the actual dining area 8’ and is the chandelier in the middle of that wall? It looks off.

Dining space is 8’ x 26”. You need to keep a walkway open to family room and kitchen.

I suggest a rug which outlines the table/chair area.

I like this idea for formal living room seating where there is not a lot of space:

Near the entry door I like to have a bench to sit on when putting on/taking off shoes. Also a console table with mirror above it. So think of creating three zones - entry zone, sitting area, and dining area, while leaving at least 36” of walkway along the side of the room. I agree that the chandelier will probably need to be moved over to be centered under the dining table, and perhaps it could be replaced with one that is more of a focal point since the room seems to be lacking one.

This is what I meant by a chandelier that creates a focal point. There is not a lot of room for the dining table, so I would look for something sized around 36” x 60”

Those are gorgeous. Thank you all for all the feedback ! I like the bench idea since the main seating/tv will be behind the dining room by the kitchen! I’ll try to post more iAd I progress
