HELP! does this tile need to be ripped out and redone?

November 6, 2019

Just popped in to see how our renovation is going and found our master bath floor had been tiled. We used marble hex tiles, which are set on 12x12 mesh. The tiles are all unevenly spaced, crooked, not sitting flat, or pushed together with no space for grout between them. It’s all set/dry but has not been grouted yet. Is there any way to salvage this without ripping out and starting over? I’m trying not to be overly picky, since this has been an extremely long, drawn out project (full gut of a 110-year-old home, and it has taken us 2 years to get to this point). Am I crazy? Pretty sure this is the worst tile job I’ve ever seen...(also, these are not isolated examples - literally the whole floor looks like this. It’s about 150 square feet of tile.)
