Forgot to ask, before I looked for rugs...what other color (s) is in the abutting space?

Thank you, JudyG Designs. The walls are white, the floors are dark brown laminate (darker than the floors in your picture with the round rug). I am hoping for great pops of color in the room such as the green velvet sofa, brass lamp. I would rather the rug be thick/shaggy (basically comfy), but that doesn't shed (ideally). But if I found a nice piece that's a flat weave, I would go for it. Where are the rugs in your pictures from, please? Thanks!!!

I own the jute rug for the entry already, yes. The sofa is slightly darker than pictured above, but yes, I also own the sofa and the following brass lamp...

What are your feelings about the above rug? It has the right colors, but what about the style?

Thanks for suggesting the rug. It's such an interesting design and has the colors of the items in my living room. Ordinarily, I would go fot it. My main worry is with a loud/statement couch, does the rug need to be more neutral?
