Radiant heat floors: Electric vs water/propane based?

I'm remodeling a kitchen from scratch and decided on porcelain tile for the flooring. My contractor is all about the propane heated tubing that gets installed below the subfloor. The tile places have electric wire types. Can anyone give some pros/cons for both? Also for electric, there's Schluter Ditra, NuVent Nuheat and Laticrite. Any experience in those? I know the electric needs a 120 or 240 dedicated circuit. There's already plywood/hardiboard on the floors. Thanks.
