It is a large mirror. It fits the space perfectly so I’ll likely leave that there.

The pendants seem awfully high, lowering them will make a difference.
Add in some fruit/flowers in a glam bowl/vase is all that kitchen needs.

Your pendants are WAY too high, and other than that? Not a good place for a mirror, Some art would be much nicer . Buy fresh flowers at the market, ( multiple bunches, ONE variety ) set out a big bowl of fresh fruit...... More is not necessary.

It’s true if the pendants were much lower they would create a break in what the eye sees and the hood fan wouldn’t seem so blank

HI -- Wonderful room ... but are you brave ???- because I am all about more drama . Match the dark blue (?) from that fabric and paint the back wall that color . You need two large chandelier / light fixtures hung much lower .. as they say go big or go home . Then get some big vases in Blue and White ( I think thats the color in the fabric ??? ) for on the island ...Enchantedhome.com

I love the style of your kitchen!! Especially the bar stools and pendants with their mid century modern touch. Your ceiling height is tall so I would do some tall accessories. Maybe a topiary or a lemon tree if you have the right lighting.

I’d put the lemon tree or topiary to the right of your range area, just to balance out the tall glass cabinet on the left. I’ve done the same in my own kitchen - put a tallish topiary to the left near the window, to balance out the tall glass cabinet to the far right. Also the wood trim on the bottom of your vent cover is making it feel unbalanced with the black and white drapery. I would put some decorative wrought iron hanging on your range hood cover to give it more presence.

I agree with the other commenters on your pendants. Is there a way to lower them or extend them somehow?

the island with the sink is navy as is the Roman shade color. I am working on lowering the pendants.

HI - Look at Hale Navy by Benjamin Moore paints for that back wall ...I think it would look great and it will show off that hood. Look at the lighting fixtures at Restorationhardware.com ... RH.com just for ideas !

Your kitchen is beautiful something throws me off with you shades they look out of place place white would look elegant maybe two tall vases in windows and some gold dishes
