There are people who choose stained doors with white trim throughout their house. It looks ok, but not a choice I would make. I also wouldn't start mixing stained and white doors in the same rooms, unless you are really good with design and being able to make it look intentional, and not like you ran out of white doors.

Why does your husband want stained doors?

I think doors should all be the same for cohesiveness around the house.....if you stain the doors select a trim paint color that has the same warmth or coolness as the stained doors.

I have all pale gray walls and trim and dark gray doors . I like it , but of course both are a paint finish. Men have a thing about wood for sure . I would not mix both in one space though.Depending on the bedroom pieces you might be able to do wood stain on the inside of the door but paint on the hall side and then the wood closet doors
