Hello and Happy New Year!

Has anyone tried making ripplefold drapes out of existing curtains? Is it as simple as sewing the snap tape to the inside of a curtain and getting the right type of track system (also, can more than one panel be sewn together for added width/fullness?)? I’ve gotten a few custom quotes and they are outrageously high. I’m hoping there’s a less expensive way to approach this project.

Any insight and advice is much appreciated.
