Cute little new ficus baby

Long post warning! So, I snuck into the local library and took a cutting from a large, healthy ficus tree two summers ago. I potted it in soil, kept it wet and in the sun. Fast forward a year and I decided to repot as it wasnt doing anything but still green turns out it had grown a MASSIVE root system. Repotted in fertilized soil and since about November the growth has been amazing!! I am getting new growth every single day!! Problem is the little stem is so thin it is falling over and cannot support the heavy new growth. Should I stake it? I am by no means someone with a green thumb but I certainly want this little guy to continue growing!! Any advice is appreciated!!
