I agree. The shelves look too puny for that space. Look for art that you love.

Instead of shelves, how about a piece of artwork that blends all the colors in your sofa, walls, and pillows?

Can you take a picture from farther away so we see whole space?

Yes totally agree about shelves being too high and not proportionate. I am getting rid of them and if I went with floating shelves again, I would put new ones lower (but not too low?) and maybe add a third one so they all extend further to the right.

But I like the idea of wall art, too.

I’m attracted to shelves because of their versatility in decorating/displaying things I love. So I need to decide either about shelves or some wall art display

I agree about using only art above the sectional rather than any type of shelving. It's not comfortable to have something sticking out of the wall above your head. Art also gives you a better way to add some color, pattern, and personality to the room. Save the shelving for an office.

No shelving to me it always like the stuff will fall on someones head . A really nice large piece of art will also allow you to choose colors from it for pillows and other accents.

Maybe there’s a better spot for shelves. I agree it’s fun to have a place for small displays. But that wall isn’t the right place. Art above the sofa. Shelves somewhere else. Nice couch, btw.

I was thinking the same as auntthelma. Is there another place you can add the shelves and use artwork above the sofa?
