I find the most difficult finishing touch to do is the bedding. Custom made with beautiful fabrics is the way to go, but I want machine washable, easy care while still having the custom, rich look.

It could be any room. I think it depends on the floor plan of each room of your house, and how each space works with (or not) your specific needs and wants.

I would say kitchen and Living room ( voted kitchen) reason being is these two rooms are used constantly so it is difficult with so much stuff inside and redoing it all again.

Kitchen for sure. Even though one obviously has to have good ventilation, including the hood, grease means everything should be easy to clean, and many decor items--including art--are not.

    Bonus rooms..a waste of space.

I think my master bedroom as I like to change the bedding from winter to summer without redoing everything. Kitchens for me are easy I have little or no decor in there everything has a purpose and easy to clean surfaces are top of the list and organization.

I voted for hallway because my hallway in the Palm Springs area is narrow, and so it is difficult to see or photograph art that I put on the walls. My hallways in Los Angeles is open to the dining room, and so it is not difficult at all.

They all are difficult to decorate. Not one stands out as being more difficult than the other. Once you finish with one room, and start with the other you are faced with the same decisions(color, furnishings, flooring, lighting, window treatments, and on and on...)

Rooms that flow together are difficult. Where to start and where to stop. All the paint just about has to be the same color

I like a lot of storage for a bedroom, but I have to compromise space so I am always trying to figure out what I should eliminate in order to get the most effective use of space and have sufficient storage.

Wes, my bonus room was the easiest to decorate and we love using it.

All rooms have their challenges but hallways, especially front entry hallways sometimes fall short. They should be inviting and some what a reflection of the rooms they lead to, without feeling cluttered or over done. I change some of the accessories with the seasons to keep it fresh. Plants, fresh flower & candles work for me.😊

For me it's been our master bedroom. I always seem to put it last on the list and prioritize other spaces. It's close, I just need motivation to cross the finish line with the last few details.

The basement. It’s a wide open space without any definition. Paint is hard to choose because it is dark as are furnishings.

The Kitchen. The cabinets, flooring, backsplash, countertops, and appliances are all important to the final result.

My craft room evolved our many years and then we decided to move! The space is smaller and I’m lost as to where to begin-The boxes are being unpacked and stuff is left there until I can decide how to proceed!

Kitchen and bathrooms are difficult in that your decision is with you and realistically unchangeable for years even decades to come. Kitchens have so many surfaces and textures and permanent accessories that all have to marry together seamlessly if you want a successful result. Similar but not quite as complicated for bathrooms.

The most difficult is rooms which are too small for your needs

Small “just-enough” carbon-positive modern home close to transit And a beach (if I could!). And with gratitude for a roof over my head that leaves me capacity to help others have the same.
