We have small units in our home for extended family members and their kids- each unit has two full bathrooms with bath tubs and showers.. so for now while their families are small, one for the kids and one for the adults.

Yes, it's called the only bathroom. All the kids have to use it.

in our old house there was a dedicated kids bath. It was a jack and jill. There were 2 sinks separated by a linen closet and the toilet and shower in separate room. It worked out well for us. In current house there is no dedicated kids bathroom because my kids are now college age and live at school.

Right now we only have one bathroom but will have 2.5 in the future. Our first draft house plan had the kids using the guest bath (or vice versa). Super happy I added a powder room. Not interested in badgering kids to keep the guest bathroom tidy! It's fairly basic but with slightly upgraded plumbing fixtures to go with the modern style in the rest of the house and an integrated sink and one-piece toilet to help them keep it cleaner.

We have 5 boys and 2 girls. They all sleep upstairs and there’s a boys bathroom and a girls bathroom upstairs too.

Yep. When we built our house we planned for a bathroom for our two girls and a separate one for our son. We spent a lot of time teaching them how to clean the spaces too! It absolutely isn’t necessary to have a kids only bath but it is a want I greatly appreciate

Yes, our son has a bathroom that also opens to the study. We went with a nautical theme. The flooring is wood look tile and the walls are a deep blue.

Somewhat on the same line. Hubs and I are tall and in our late 60's so have master bath and guest bath with the higher toilets. The powder room is for shorter guests and the young grandkids as it has a standard height toilet.

We have a split bedroom ranch - so the “hall bath” is essentially our son’s bathroom 95% of the time. Typically guests would use that bathroom when visiting- but we do have a full bath downstairs for overnight visitors.

His bathroom is quite UN-decorated at this point. Because it’s the hall bath too it’s pretty simple - gray, navy blue, white. We’re keeping our eyes open for some fun boy-friendly art!

We have two bathrooms. I don’t let the kids in the master bath unless it’s an emergency. The master bath isn’t fancy but it does have less bubble gum flavored toothpaste smeared across the mirror than the kids’ bath does. Unfortunately (because of the mess the kids so quickly make in their bathroom) the guest bath and the “kids” bath are one in the same.

Right now the bathroom is mint 1974. We are redoing it this spring though. The main design theme is “cheap and easy to wipe down”.
