Alstroemeria? Anyone growing them in zone 6?

Has anyone grown these "Peruvian Lilies" in New England? Most sources say they are hardy in zone 6 but I've never seen any growing anywhere in the area.

They aren't hardy for me, even the hardier hybrids that are supposed to be hardy to zone 5 like Sweet Laura. (I tried one year.) But I would imagine that one like Sweet Laura or other hardier cultivars would likely do just fine for you.

Maybe worth a try. I saw one website that had about five varieties supposedly hardy in zone 6. Perhaps these are some new hybrids.

I grow Alstroemeria in my garden. I've had it for 4-5 years now.
