I like the Beach Cottage Oak also, but with the caveat that I would be wary of trying to look like I was attempting to match the existing.

How would it look if you did a contrast from the rest of the house and did a brown? Or maybe maple, the same color of your hutch. I'm not liking the color, not sure if it's the pattern of the floor or both.

Be careful about using laminate anywhere that water may be dripped. The laminate (3 years old) at our lake cabin has started to warp and bubble in places that I did not quickly wipe dry. Our neighbors used vinyl planks and have had no issues.

Good point about laminate near water, Maddielee. i am leaning towards luxury vinyl planks (LVP) for that reason. When I can get down to the house I’ll get samples and look at them in the room. Oakley, I agree with a brown vs. gray and think that will look best with the oak floors in the two adjacent rooms. I’m just not sure if I want to go too brown or too dark. Heres a color closer to the hutch in LVP:

There are some lovely luxury vinyls planks out there. I have a bunch of samples, they aren’t all created equal though. You might like the Modin luxury planks as they have a thick wear layer, a realistic grain imbedded and nice colors.
