What color paint wall goes with crackled grey tile?

I would like to use Benjamin Moore paint. What color paint should I use for the wall? It is small bathroom. The highland park grey dove tile wall and marble floor are in that room. I would like have a tiny tint of grey for the wall. I would like to have a custom vanity. What color paint for the vanity, door and trim? I do not want too much grey in that room. I do not mind to feel warm or cool in that room.

I would love to see the gray owl with 50 percent lighter. Do you have any photos of it?

I just read some comments about 50 percent lighten gray owl which turn more green.

@Beth H. I wonder about this formula. Does it sound right to you?

if you are planning on selling house...i would stay neutral..lights walls, white vanity..with one hole countertop..

@robert maestrey, someday yes. We will get white vanity with one hole countertop

@fsg89 typically I have found that stores can't do samples of 50% formulas, it's too hard to change the formula in a small sample size, it's just not representative of the final color. At least that is what I've been told. FWIW I like the Light Pewter, it's a warm gray will look nice with the white vanity and trim.

50 percent lightened light pewter. I think this is the best so far

@fsg89, it is nearly impossible to tell from a photo on a computer screen what this color really looks like in your space.

For what it's worth I like the original color better it looks more true pewter; the second photo with 50% everything looks beige'd out.

See the attached photo, I put the two side by side and you will see what I mean. Go with what you like.

wow wow. It is NOT easy because of undertone. I think I changed my mind again. I think I will use Intense white on walls. So what color should goes with Ceiling, Trim and Door? I am not sure about what color for the vanity? I am thinking of snowbound (SW) for the vanity. Any suggestion?

Click on the link and look at snowbound and coordinating colors from the Sherwin Williams color visualizer, maybe try Incredible White SW7028 shown as a coordinating color for Snowbound.

Will it be okay for the snowbound color vanity with white toilet by a kohler?

99.9 of bathrooms have a white toilet, I would not worry about coordinating with the toilet.

So far I’m testing . What do you think?

    Top , intense white molding.

    More pictures, snowbound molding

    Left snowbound, right intense white

BM Cloudy Sky. Myself, I get bored with grey on grey on grey.

    I prefer Snowbound

I like snowbound too but I think that it is not enough to pop out. I notice a slightly yellow or cream tint in it. It is very soft feeling. If I use snowbound for trim, door and vanity. What about ceiling? I am concern about the ceiling. Should I get a white flat for ceiling? I am so lost.

@Dawn Martinez. Thank you for advice! I am very picking about the vanity color goes with beautiful marble floor. I do not want anything look off. I am looking for clean and fresh feeling. I think snowbound color for vanity which seem nice but it will not look good with marble floor. On the left side snowbound and right side is just white01 . I am looking for right white color and not too stark.

@fsg89 Can you post a better photo with good lighting of the tile, the floor etc. It's very hard to give a good option with the colors on a computer screen. But I think tbh this is the first time we're seeing your floor and I'm getting a cooler gray from the floor and warmer with the tiles. So...yes tricky.

Here the marble floor look like.

How about cotton ball paint for the vanity? I do not think, the off white with yellow tint will work with the marble floor . How about decorator white? I try to avoid stark white.

I have a marble floor in my master bath, although with less grey veining...I used this color from Sherwin Williams for the wall, actually I've used it in three bathroom renovations. It's a good neutral for the grays. It's called Gossamer Veil, not at dark as it looks in the online swatch from SW.

Here's my master bath with SW Gossamer Veil on the walls. You can see the marble floor and grays in the room. Hope this helps.

Your bathroom awesome! Unfortunately my tile is very gray on wall. How can I possible to use this color for vanity goes with grey tile wall?

Dawn Martinez, What is the color on your bathroom trim and door?

    last modified: 5 years ago

@fsg89, floor trim is made of the marble tile, the door and trim is a custom color to match the subway in the shower, by SW. My GC did this for me, the custom color match that is.

@Dawn, I have not paint the door and trim yet. There is no crown molding.

I think that you're working so hard to be matchy matchy and that it's throwing you off. Try a dark charcoal gray or like this weathered black for your vanity and then maybe you'll see better options for the wall and trim. Ask SW to color match your tile for a painted vanity, take a tile in and they can custom color match if that is the look you want.

No wood, but the stone should be all white, so as not to clash with your marble or tiles.

You are really helpful. I am nervous about the blue. I like it but I am not sure if it will coordinating with grey tiles. Some day we will sell the house. That’s part of the reason.

More ideas. My end table color look like brown with dark grayish wood. Intense white for wall.

My vote is for the blue. No more grey. If you’re too afraid of the blue (which would be gorgeous) do a wood tone, but not grey washed.

I was even thinking black honestly. I'm not sure I like the blue, but I like the wood of the first photo I posted for you, dark washed charcoal gray, or even brown yes as @smitrovich says do wood. I did an espresso vanity in my bath downstairs. I'll try and post a photo later.

@smitrovich, give me an idea what does it look like the blue wood tone?

    Blue vanity.

Vote is for black and love the first black vanity posted. No blue. James Martin does a nice transitional black vanity.

I would definitely go with the white! It will be beautiful!

I like the black too! Nice finds.

I did not read many posts. Did anyone comment that your tiles look like there is a lavender cast to them? I see that especially when you have it up against some of the greenish grays above, like the "Light Pewter". It is not the direction I would take the paint. If you go with blackish vanity be sure it is not a greenish black, but one with more purple in the undertones, IMHO. I think the navy with a bit on the reddish side would look nice, not a tealish navy, again IMHO. with the walls I'd try a very light, white rendition of the vanity color. I think it will need to have a hint of lavender.

@enduring. There is no lavender. The tile looks like grey and little green tint

I am very happy with the paint. The wall color is intense white. It looks like grayish (beige and grey). I am testing the color of vanity. Should I get birch wood and stain for the vanity? What is the best brand and finishes for the vanity?

Paint looks great! you might want to start a new thread regarding your vanity. this one is getting long! include inspiration photos of what you're thinking.

    For the vanity: celery green.

Do you know what color grout you used with your Highland Park tile? We just installed a backsplash in the Dove Gray Highland Park tile and I'm trying to figure out the color of grout to use. Thank you!
