Those are two very different styles, so if you like one of the shapes better than the other and the finish goes with other things in your area, then you'll have your answer. What color is your sink faucet and cabinetry hardware, if any? You usually don't want to introduce too many different metal finishes in an area. If you do mix two, you'll want them repeated around the room in some way to help tie them together. For instance, I have both oil-rubbed bronze and gold in my master bathroom, but both those finishes are repeated in multiple items throughout the room, so it works. In the kitchen, faucets are usually stainless steel these days, so the nickel would blend better there in most instances.
