Comments (6)I agree you do need a pop of color. I just used SW Tony Taupe in the bedrooms below with a cream/beige trim color and the results were really beautiful. It had enough brown tone to match well with the trim and enough grey to match with grey décor. It really goes great with either. Sherwin WIlliams has small samples that you can purchase to try out their colors. Just make sure that you put a sample on different walls and look at them throughout the day in different lighting. Put samples in open wall spaces and then along the trim so you can see how well it works. Hope this helps!...See MoreGalley Kitchen or Other Options
Comments (4)HI -- Take the end corner off and straighten out the angle on the island , then it will work . Just have two straight runs of the counter and island which would be better for flow . Have the fridge in from the corner then shift the sink and dishwasher down a bit if needed and take the counter down a little further without ending in an angle . Then just have a straight island . You lose space when you have corners and angles in a small kitchen . I also think it would be better to have the sink and dishwasher on the island and the stove against the wall ....See MoreDistance from island range to seating on the other side of the island?
Comments (21)Hi! So, how did everything turn out? I'm taping out our planned rangetop island as we speak, and very interested to know what distance you ultimately decided upon behind your cooktop and whether you would change anything (hopefully you are happy with your choice!). Our layout also requires the cooktop to exist in the island-- no changing that. Our island will be 12' long (back kitchen wall is 26' so it fits the space). I'm currently debating between a 4' and a 4'6" width island, with 18" overhang for seating. Any advice is appreciated!...See MoreOther options for kitchen cabinet size
Comments (3)For starters I would not use cupboards for base cabinets I would use drawers and IMO a pantry where the fridge is would be better replaced with wide drawers for pots etc and the pantry next to the fridge where ever that is going.I love symmetry but not at the expense of function, I think you need to consult a KD before finalizing this design or at least post a floor plan and pics of the rest of the space...See MoreLH CO/FL
