Why on earth would anyone buy teak furniture with a faux pre-weathered finish? Why would anyone make such a finish--and with a wire-brush surface to boot!

No, I didn’t buy it. I read so many reviews about it that said it just didn’t hold up. And that’s both the wood and the cushions. You can search here on Houzz and see many comments about it. I also considered Pottery Barn, but read much of the same and it is very expensive also. I seem to love the look/design of both these retailers, but in the end I just couldn’t pay that much money and risk it not holding up. I ended purchasing Summer Classics. It seemed to have much better reviews and after looking at it at a store, even a novice like me could tell the difference in the weight, finish and overall quality. Time will tell, and I can keep you posted about it!

I ended up putting a clear waterproofing over my RH weathered teak and it has held up very well since then. They sell the instant grey online to touch up any necessary nicks before you seal it.
