I'm updating the countertops in my kitchen, and I'm looking for US-quarried stone (for environmental and working conditions-related reasons). I'm still narrowing down our overall look and would like to see slabs of Danby Cream marble, US Soapstone and US granite-- e.g. Jet Mist, Virginia Mist or American Mist. Canadian is fine too. I've found a few suppliers in the Boston area who carry stone from the US and Canada (Marble & Granite, Inc, Daltile Stone Center and Boston Granite Exchange), but I'm wondering if anyone has experience looking for these stones in the Boston area, and if so, whether there are specific suppliers you would recommend.
