8” square floor tile: source for sand or tan tile?

I’m looking for 8” square porcelain floor tile in a sand or light tan color. There aren’t a lot of options. Do you know of any?

My local tile store has two choices: a) one that is very light, without much variation, which isn’t bad but may show dirt; b) something with more variation (a mottled look), but which has a grey/griege cast that I don’t love (I have no other grey/griege in the home). Bedrosian‘s website shows something that looks like a marble knock off; not sure if that’s quite right. Coudn’t find anything on ther HD website.

Are there other options?

The tile will go on the floor of the narrow powder room (37.5” wide x 8’ long) and the adjoining narrow hall (40” wide x 8’ long) and the idea is to lay it at an angle to try to make the spaces look slight wider. I have a 1940 bungalow. There will be white oak floors in the rest of the house, and adjoining the end of this hallway. I’m happy to have this be a “quiet” floor. The powder will have a statement vanity and wallpaper on top of board and batten wainscoting, with fun sconces, etc. The only natural light in the area is a sun tunnel in the hallway, which leads from the garage.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help!

Is there a Tile Shop near you? If so, go there, lots of 8 x 8 options. https://www.tileshop.com/

@tozmo1 thanks for the idea. They have a ton of 8x8 Tiles, but there’s only one floor tile that comes up in the beige or taupe or ivory. But it only takes one! Let me check it out. Good idea. I appreciate the input.

Thanks for the suggestions. Seems like several place have 1 8x8 beige tile. So there may be hope (but not the most efficient way to shop...)

@cpartist thanks for mentioning Daltile. I had gone to their website and didn’t find anything because (IMO) their navigation needs help. But based on your comment I went back, pushed through and it appears they have 2 tiles and one comes in several different colors, including a few shades of tan—so that might be the ticket. Thanks!

Tilebar has a few options..A for layout,,I wouldn't angle them..I have that in the master and it's not that great looking.

The variation and depth of Seneca tiles would go well in an 1940 bungalow. They have iron spots and variegation in the saturation of color between tiles.This page is for just one of their types of tile. Scroll down to the gallery to see color variation. Go to the "Products" pull-down at the top of the page to see the other lines. These are not nearly as expensive as other hand-made tiles. Mittens Cat used some in her son's bathroom and can tell you more.

Here you can see the unglazed quary tiles and how the iron spot and flashed tiles look, too. Their ivory color looks sand to me.
