It is 2x6 and unfortunately I don’t know the name of the grout color. The tile was put in about 7 years ago but I would say it’s a light beige or ivory in color. The tile is ivory.

@d_nugent I love the silver satin-i am deciding between that and pale oak. i have similar colored cabinets and love the way you tied in your colors with the artwork. i love the painting-who is the artist?

The silver satin is a lovely colour. I also used it in my bathroom. The light changes the colour, but it is always pretty. Thanks for asking about the picture. I bought it before the Colton instal. It looks like an original, but I picked it up in a lighting store and I think it is fabricated. I loved the colours. Funnily enough on the Colton website they recommended that orange colour to use as a highlight with Silver Satin. Sometimes things are just meant to be 😀

anybody use a black tile for B/S with the Colton?

I am so happy I found this post! I will soon be part of the Colton family! The pictures that all of you have posted are beautiful! It confirmed my decision to choose Colton over Sutherland. Colton has a distinguished sophistication about it yet it has some drama. I didn’t want it being too subtle. To me it’s timeless. Thank you for sharing.

I had Colton installed in my kitchen about six months ago. I love everything about it. used it for the backsplash also.

We also don‘t have any cutouts in the backsplash slab. All of the outlets are under the upper cabinets. It gives everything a clean look.

I only have access to a 12x10 porce of Colton. Do the brown streaks show up alot or are they mostly grey streaks? Our sink will be in island and I was hoping to install brown sink. would that work?

I would say there is an equal amount of brown and gray. I have natural cherry cabinets and it looks amazing. I chose the largest single bowl sink in stainless steel and I love it.

@sdd53 did you ever use the wellfleer coconut? if so, what grout did you choose and do you have any pictures?

Yes I did and I love it!I used laticrete light pewter for the grout. I will try to get some better pictures up but hoping you can see the very subtle variations in the tile.

Here’s another view in daylight hope this helps! I’m very happy with it. The picture doesn’t do it justice -it actually matches the Colton perfectly because it’s not a true white. You can tell when you look at it compared to the outlet.

This post is extremely helpful. We are going to use Colton and are looking for a backsplash. I've found Bedrosians Clara 2.75" X 11" Glossy Porcelain Tile in White and Ivory. Not sure which way to go. Ideas anyone?

Hard to tell from website, you really need to get a sample of each (preferably at least 4 tiles) and arrange them vertically on your wall next to the sample of Colton. You need to see it in your own lighting because it looks differently than it does in the tile store. Good luck!

So we chose Colton and the kitchen designer suggested that we use a matte finish for our backsplash. We went with a Dale-tile subway tile that is 4” by 12”. I’m sure of the color but I think there were only 2 to choose from. Probably a bit warn for it is not bright white. We use a light to mid tone groat. Very pleased.

we are looking to put the Colton countertop in our kitchen, but I am afraid that it will clash with our white farmhouse sink, The rest of the kitchen it a light grey and the island is a navy blue color and the hardware is black. Let me know anyones thoughts Thank you!!

It is definitely more of a warm white. Get a good size sample and put it next to your sink to try. The black hardware may be too harsh for it in my opinion, but it’ll probably look great against the navy island!

I’m not sure if lighting is great but you see here. We put in a Koehler white sink and I was concerned about that too. I actually really like them together but it is personal opinion.

We decided on Colton and now I’m really double guessing our choice that it won’t contrast enough and might be too creamy. It looked pretty white at shop 😅Did anyone install it with warm grey cabinets?

Yes we did and we love it! I will try and find a picture. I had the same concerns and I’m so glad we went with it. We did matte finish.

Absolutely! The Colton will look fantastic! It’s a warm white which goes with the tone of your cabinets.

I have dark cheery cabinets and a busy back splash. how will the cambria Colton Quartz look with these?
