My countertop fabricator wants to give me a MSI sink (model 3018) included in his price. Are MSI sinks any good? I believe they are also sold under the MR Direct brand. This one (model 3018) is made of 18 gauge 304 stainless steel and weighs only 12.2 pounds. For comparison, I was considering a Blanco 28 inch sink (model 441024) with 18 gauge 301 stainless steel that weighs 22 pounds. Should the low weight of the MSI sink compared to similar Blanco sinks be a warning sign to avoid it? I'm looking for a sink that will wear well over time with no rust, quiet, and not scratch too badly (I will get a grid no matter the brand). Thank you!
