Ask SW to physically custom color match a sample. That’s the only way that ever works.

Another person had the same problem as described in this article. The solution was Coronado Rust Scat 90 white paint tinted as she shows in a photo in the article. It appears that appliance white is pretty standard among appliance brands.

why are we matching it?

We just went through this with our white appliances which are different brands for our new cabinets. It is impossible to get an exact match. It will be a compromise. Best to get paint samples and at least an 8X10 cardboard canvas from a crafts store. We created 7 samples from all the whites we tried and then narrowed it down. You have to look at the samples at different time of the day, sunny days, cloudy days for a good results. Good luck as there are so many shades of white that fall either on the cooler side or warmer side. The cooler side is where you want to be.

It doesn't have to match exactly. I just want it to look good and not make the cabinets look yellow or dirty.

White, cream, and ivory paint will yellow over time.

My grandma's cabinets are white and she's had them for 20 years never been repainted and they are still white. She doesn't have any direct sunlight on them which probably helps. My kitchen won't have any either. Hopefully I can choose a color that will hopefully hold true.
